Choir Caroling at Portola Hotel & Spa
Portola Hotel & Spa - Two Portola Plaza | Monterey, CA 93940Join us for a festive evening as York School's Choir and Chamber Choir fill the lobby of Portola Hotel & Spa in downtown Monterey with the joyful sounds of the season. On the First Friday of December, we’ll kick off the holiday spirit with Christmas carols, holiday tunes, and plenty of merriment. Our students will dazzle you with solos, duets, and group performances, all while dressed in festive sweaters that add to the cheerful atmosphere. Parents are invited to start the evening early with a Happy Hour before the singing begins. The festivities start at 7 p.m.—come celebrate the season with us in beautiful Monterey.Contact: Spencer Williams

Now in its fourth year, this cherished event is a unique opportunity, as York is the only school in the area granted the privilege to sing in this stunning venue. The evening will feature traditional and sacred music, with moments for the whole community to join in singing Christmas carols. It's a night of musical reverence and unity that you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of this beautiful evening, celebrating the spirit of the season with the entire York community.

- Ticket Price: Suggested donation of $10
- Live Jazz Performance: Featuring the talented students of the York School Jazz Program.
- Holiday Tunes: A mix of festive jazz melodies to kick off the season.
- Food Specials: Wings, chicken, or ribs with fries for just $15.
- Exclusive Sneak Peek: Deja Blue is undergoing renovations, and attendees will get an exclusive look at the new space.
- No One Will Be Turned Away: While we suggest a $10 donation for admission, we want to ensure that everyone who wants to attend can join us. If you’re unable to make the donation or wish to give more, please come—everyone is welcome!
- Wrap-Up & Restaurant Transition: The performance will conclude at 1:00 PM. The event space will need to be cleared for the next service, but guests are welcome to head through the doorway to join the restaurant for a meal or go about their day.
