At York School, we believe talented students should be given the opportunity of a York education regardless of financial circumstances. Every dollar raised goes directly to support York's mission to provide high quality education in a nurturing environment for every student, within an inclusive and diverse community.
Generous individuals, corporations, and foundations help us bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of educating a York student.

Donations from a diverse group of supporters are essential to providing high-quality educational programs, financial aid, computers and new technology, rich offerings in the arts and athletics, classroom materials, faculty enrichment, and campus improvements and maintenance.

A Special Message from Heather Oliver, Trustee

Financial Aid
About 50% of our families (more than twice the national average) receive some level of financial assistance to pay tuition. Generous donors make this possible by creating named scholarships, often in honor or memory of a loved one.  Naming opportunities begin at $15,000 for an annual scholarship or $100,000 for an endowed scholarship that will support students in perpetuity.

Legacy Society
By including York School in their estate plans, donors provide for inspiring faculty, outstanding students, and a unique learning environment for years to come. Please click here for a complete list of our legacy society members.

Endowment
Investments in York's endowment produce annual income and provide stability for the School well into the future. Endowment earnings are used for various priorities including scholarships, campus improvements, and faculty development.  Creating a named fund to honor or remember a loved one or to carry out your own values is a meaningful way to create a legacy.  Naming levels begin at $100,000 and can be set up over a five- year time frame.

We inspire and prepare a diverse community of creative, independent thinkers.
Since 1959, York School has created an exceptional college-prep experience for our youth: inspiring them to develop intellectual curiosity; challenging them to create and try new things; and preparing them to be passionate contributors in college and in life.
