Christina Nielsen

HUMANITIES  |  CNIELSEN@YORK.ORG

Christina Nielsen spent the last seven years teaching students of all backgrounds around California, including San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. With degrees from Cal Poly and the University of San Diego and hands-on experience teaching all grade levels and proficiencies of English Language Arts, her passion is to support students in seeing their work as meaningful and relevant, and for students to view themselves as empowered members of their communities. By igniting curiosity and fostering a love of learning, community connection, and individual exploration and expression, her students can expect authenticity, humor, inclusivity, and a space for both safety and challenge.

Outside of school, you can find Christina playing with her dogs at the beach, reading at her favorite bookstores and coffee shops, and exploring the beauty of Carmel Valley and Monterey Bay.
