Linguistic Identity
In this Ted-Talk-style presentation I discuss the attitude around language that I have noticed inside the community and also during my time in Germany. I incorporate both personal as well as outside anecdotes about the way we interact with language (specifically our prioritization of English over other languages spoken in the US like Spanish). I introduce the idea of starting language classes earlier during United States education.
