York Alumnus Mitchell Green ’75 Publishes Book on Educational Reform
August 19th, 2025
In Education for All: Tales from the Classroom and the Pursuit of Equitable Reform, alumnus Mitchell Green (York Class of 1975) draws on his decades of experience as a teacher and instructional leader to examine the complex factors that shape student learning. He identifies seven key influences—content, instruction, assessment, leadership, staff development, school culture, and community culture—and shows how neglecting any one of them undermines student success. Blending real-world stories with practical insights, Green advocates for coordinated, student-centered approaches to reform and invites educators, parents, and community members to play an active role in creating more equitable schools.
